speedo issue

well never mind my car must be a freak. 6 bolts and i can pull off that tail shaft housing. is there a better way to check?

The 6 15mm bolts you are talking about are only half of it. Notice the shifter on top of the tailshaft. that needs to be taken loose also. There is a rod that connects to it, take the shifter off there will be a roll pin hammer it out. slide the piece back and there is a spring and a little ball in there. once you get that part loose then the tail shaft will come loose. It is real simple i could talk you through it, but almost immposible to get to it still in the car.
