Default To those with pcv oil separators...

I've learned something very interesting about my Huskypcv oil separator. It works WAY better without the filter and cyclone thing inside the collector. I took these parts out, and now I collect like 5 times more oil. That's 5 times less oil getting into the intake. Try it, and you'll see. Let me know if your results are the same as mine.

Yeah, some folks have reported the filter getting plugged with engine oil. I don't know what material is used for the filter, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with ALL types of engine oils. I ran mine with the filter for several months without issue though.

Next on the list should be to improve the pcv system, so that the separator isn't needed?

Good to hear it is working better

Thanks, Jason. I don'tthinkthe filter was plugged, as I could still blow through it with no restriction, as when it was new. It just seems that oil is slung onto the filter, where it sits waiting to be sucked into the intake.Even when it was brand new, it never collected much oil.Without the filter, thevial is nearly half-full after only 500 miles of mostly highway driving. Before removing the filter, in this number of miles, there would only be like half teaspoon of oil in the vial.

At any rate, I probably will wind up adding a second pcv to the system--I assume that's what you're referring to when you say to improve the system. Even though I've read all your articles and threads on the subject, I'll probably have some questions for you when the time comes. Thanks again, my friend.
