If your pulling out the motor yourself, you should pressure wash the engine bay while its out and paint it yourself. Shouldn't be all that hard. Unless you are talking about filling all the lil holes and stuff.

He was talking about the holes in the bay. There is about 68 million of them to be exact. No dont use spraypaint. Do you have a good compressor for air tools or something? If so, get a spray gun and spray it yourself with matching paint. OR have it towed to a shop and have them spray it for you.

Depends where you go, every shop will charge different. I have gone places to get a rear bumper and hood painted, some guys wanted 2K and some wanted $400. I know someone who would do it for a hundred or two at max. Its really no work for them if its all prepped, etc. If you tape everything off they just spray and than thats it. No blending, etc.

painting isnt that hard, i started doing small projects and you have to understand it takes time and several coats or you will get nasty runs.
