ORIGINAL: AdderMk2

why dont you just get a new strut mount... they only cost like 20-30 bucks...
i did i am trying to install the new cause the old one is busted....

the old fell right off once the head of the bolt broke off. the ez off thing isn't grabbing like it suppose to. i guess i am goin to have to take it to a shop so they can heat up the bolt

The easy out will break!!! If you broke the head off, my experience is the the easy will not work. Use some heat and a good pair of vise grips.

ok look TAKE IT SOMEWHERE AND GET IT TAKEN OUT!!!!. i say this because...

i was taking my heads and everything above off, and in taking the lower intake off of the heads two bolts broke, one in each head, the furthest up front....

dad tryed to get a grip on them-no dice
tried to drill small hole and use extractors-no dice
tried bigger ones, etc-no dice
tried drilling it all the way out- ****ed the heads up

ended up having to buy new heads cuz we tried everything above. ended up prob spending 100 in bits, extractors, etc etc.

if we woulda just brought them somewhere theyda been able to get them out. but now since we didnt, this was 2 weeks ago, i still have no car to drive. i had to go to a junk yard, and pull heads off of a 95 stang for this car, spent 100 on them and have, or should so i did atleast, to get them remaned. luckly a friend of ours is doing it for free. i was suposed to get them back this morning, but nope, now HOPEFULLY tomorrow morning. so basically ive been w. out a car for 2 or 3 weeks just cuza broken bolts... so trust me when i say... do it right the 1st time, and bring it somewhere.

the reason i had to do the welder thing with the screwdriver is because the easy out broke.. had no other choice. took the screwdriver tach welded it once on each side letting it cool in between then bolts came right out. last resort but works but becareful if the bolt is in aluminum as it was in my case...
