ok this is weird people... after i installed my headers and stuff this problem happened. whenever i push in the clutch pedal it wants to kinda stick on its way down. reaaaly hard to explain, first of all its hard to push (harder than before) and when i push it the pedal goes in making like a grabbing noise, like a very rough scrapping on its way down. its really weird!! i just hope there is no internal damage to my clutch. all i did before this was jack up my engine with one of the mounts removed, could this have bent something inside the bellhousing? aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh....!!!! [&o]

did you make sure the header is not comming in contact with the clucth cable or the lever on the side of the tranny kinda sound's like something is coming in contact with it or maybe it is binding

sounds like a screwed cable,,,take the cable off of the fork,,use a prybar to push the fork and then slip out the cable,, with the cable distconected try to work it in and out if it feels stuck tehn try the pedal and if there is any resistance on the pedal at all you definetly have a bad cable,,,you better get it fixed because you are very likely to strip out the cable quadrant provided it is the same old stock one.

ok im going to try and remove the cable.


QUESTION: the part of the cable that goes into the firewall, how do i remove this, it seems like i can damage something if i try to pull it?

ok i removed the cable and pulled it out from under the car, the cable looks new. i stuck a crow bar in my clutch lift plate and pulled on it and thank god the clutch opened smooth *fingers crossed*. so the problem lies within the quadrant thingy inside the firewall. funny part is when i removed the clutch side of the cable and left the qudrant side in, i pulled on the cable from the hood side and it moved quadrant just fine. then when i assembled it all and went to push the clutch pedal i hear , CRONK CRONK CRONK before it gets to the floor. the pedal sticks and moves in a truncated fashion... PLEASE HELP!!! this is annoying and worries me!!!
