Well, the wife went ahead and got my bday present for me a little early so I can get to work on the Stang. It wasn't much, but it is good enough for what I need it to do.



Now once I get some practice in, I'm gonna get to work on the car. Latemodel Resto is now offering the inner fender aprons that I needed, so it looks like I wont have to take it to my father in laws body shop. I'm just gonna cut the spot welds and tack in the new aprons. Then comes the cowl, floor patch, and eventually with some experience, I'm gonna tackle the little bit of body rust I uncovered.

Anyone have some good ideas of crap I can weld up for the car? I'm gonna make a battery box/tray for the rear of the car just to get some practice. Anything else I can "create" to get some practice?

hope you got a nice helmet and gloves cause flash burns are no fun . i went through a 10 pound spool in one night

I'm not doing subframes as of yet. That will have to come once the car is back into decent enough shape to really dig in.

And yep I got a helmet already. Dont have gloves as of yet, but you can bet I will before I start. I'm setting up my garage right now so it'll be a bit before I get to use any of it. Workbench coming this weekend. Air tools came over the holidays and my paint guns will be coming hopefully before the end of Feb. I'm not using top of the line equipment right now simply due to money or the lack thereof. So I'm finding deals and making do with what I can. Gonna be a budget build.
