I am serious. I'm either going to sell it as is, or go ahead and do a few upgrades and ask ~$12k for it. After talking with Jay Allen about it, I'm fairly convinced it's got room for improvement on the N/A side of things.

Thats plenty of cash, but keep in mind you'll spend 25% more than you anticipate in most cases. Try to keep a spreadsheet of your budget including needs vs. wants. If you remain single and focused you'll have one sick car. Good Luck, start reading magazines and books, best places for info.

Thanks guys.
The only thing that is for sure is that the engine will be built up, not just bolt ons. Id rather not dump tons of $$$ into an engine with 200,000 miles on it. As for what size engine and all that, thats for later on.
I noticed a few of you guys suggested buying a 4banger and doing a swap. If I plan on either having the engine rebuilt and stroked, or swap, would this make more sense for me financially? My only concern would be unseen expenses from doing the swap. Theres no way im going to put tons of HP and torque behind a trans with so many miles (let alone a ford... OHHH!!! haha) So it would probably be rebuilt at the very least. Regardless of which car I build, I will budget for engine and trans. But Im concerned about things like suspension, the rear, and other things that would have to be swapped to handle a built V8.
Ill probably make another post about differences between the two cars and things that would need to be swapped.
Any additional input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jim
