Default Vacuum Leak????

i described my problem in another forum titled, need help!! after not being able to find a solution to my problem, a friend suggested taking the oil cap off while the engine was running and check for any pressure. he said if i didn't feel anything, then i probably have a vacuum leak. is this true? he said that's how he found out he had a leak. if so, is this what is causing my problems and how do i find the leak?

Whats your problem? And No you would not be able to detect a vacume leak by covering up the oil filler.

the way your friend told you is not verry accurate.... there are 2 good ways to do it.... you can get a can of carberator cleaner or a non lit propane tourch... and spray or wave it around your intake and what not, and where vacc leaks are most likley to accure.... try that
