Launching w/ DRs

+1 on the stock axles.. i ran stock axles for a long time, they are stronger than what people think.
as long as your not wheel hopping and your shifting habbits are good.. you can run stock axles, even on the spray... i know i did... i had a 306 in my car, and used to drive it to the track and bolt slicks on it..
spray it 175... i think my fastest time in the 1/8 was 7.08..... if i kept messin with it, i could have got it in the high 6s, but ... a 408 is alot better now

i think.....(guessing too ) the 31 splines are close too the same weight, and size, but i think......(guessing again) the 33 splines are just a little heavier .
thinking again... if he got a spool.. it would cut down on the weight and almost even it out.. but if its a street car with just some minor mods...
well... swipe that card, and spend some money!!!!!

RE: Launching w/ DRs
i have launched my car off the limiter on slicks with stock axles and never broke it. but i wouldnt always trust them, wich is why i invtested in a set of moser 31 spline axles and an eaton carrier. I am going to try a set of 275/60/15 M/T drag radials but i dont think I will beable to hook on a limiter launch like i could with slicks.
