That is what confuses me too. But shaft mounts are different. They have a special shaft that come with them.

Is pedastal and stud mainly just a preference thing? If the bolt/screw fits. Then it should work, right?

"yes/but not" Is kind of contradictory. Would be easy to see if you had it sitting in front of you. But hate to order the wrong thing.

your car stock has pedistal mounts. yes you slide the rocker over a bolt and tighten it with a nut. the difference is that the bottom of a pedistal mount RR sits on something where a stud mount is adjustable and doesnt sit on anything but the valve and the pushrod and you dont torque them down, you adjust them

Here is a pair of pedestal mount rocker arms. I believe that these are similar to the 1.7s that came stock on the 93 cobras. Notice the little "pedestals" that the rocker arms sit on...
