ORIGINAL: ih8chevy

its a somewhat expensive and not too difficult switch. if i were i would just go carb or find a diff motor
You aren't helping....going carbed isn't cheaper unless he has all the parts to do it already...new pump, pick up, lower intake, carb, possibly a new dizzy....

the engines are identical as stated the only difference is the ECU, maf wiring, and vac line to the MAP....your swap is easy as can be...install the new motor EXACTLY the reverse of how you removed your old one and you should be running A1 in no time flat. Do not use the SD computer in your vehicle..keep your current ECU.
