Default Speedometer dilema

my 89' lx is gonna have a 351 and a 5 spd. I like to drive fast. My speedometer goes up to 85. I think im gonna need a little bit more feedback then that. If i bought white face GT gauges with the 140mph speedo layin, could i get a new speedo sensor or get the computer tuned to work with that? or would i have to buy a whole new cluster off of ebay?

There is no speedo sensor, the computer has nothing to do with the speedo calibration, it is ran by a cable.
