Default e brake cable

Has anybody ever had both of their e brake cables tear? For awhile i thought my e brake was just going bad but it turns out i was only using 1 side because the cable on that side broke. I just found out the other day when the second one broke. Is this common? also, does anyone know how much new cables cost and where to get them?

I got mine from advance like 18 a piece. Partsamerica has some for liek 12.99 but I went with the bendix. Now I need that cable that attaches to the handle and ties the two together.

Give them that number at your local store and they can get it for you without extra shipping. I had my buddy order the bendix and it is a very good looking cable.

+1 sounds like my car, it sucks not have a e brake, alomst goota shut the car off unless you cut the wheel to get the car to stay in 1 spot. So are you gys talking about the whole a-brake from the handle to the rear drums? if so thats pretty cheap fix
