I know its been asked a thousnad times but im going to switch my fan to electric before winter is over. I know i need a new alternator which im going to get. Ill probly end up with a 130a one that bolts right on. But how hard is it to actually disconnect the fan from the engine? The fan im gonna get is by black magic but im gonna look around for a cheaper one. Ive had the undrive pullies for a while so im gonna throw those on while im at it. Also will the 130a be enough or should i bump it up to 200a for s***s and giggles?

Proform electric fan off jegs............ $125 has a thermostat does 2800cfm. i bought the flex-a-lite fan for $200 when that proform is the same ****in fan just $75 cheaper its very nice to have you can set it to keep running even after your car has been shut off until it cools to a certain temp. screw black magic its a good fan but not worth the money in my opinion

I have pulleys, a 130 amp Powermaster alt, a fluidyne rad and the Black Magic Xtreme, which I'm all happy with. It's not inexpensive though and work well together.

It's real straight forward disconnecting the existing fan/shroud and the instructions are easy to follow.

Or where would you recommend getting the fan....id rather get a new one since im kinda **** about used things since i got taken on ebay but i want to afford new rims this summer.

yes ebay fans work fine... i was gonna get some myself

my setup is gonna be 2 10" fans side by side except one higher than the other due to the inlet pipes and stuff on the radiator. also i'm gonna make them pushers to clean up room in the engine bay

when you get ebay fans most of the time you'll have to buy a relay from autozone tho.... like 10 bucks

this guy sells his with a relay kit.. it seems as though it could work on mine. Ill probly write the guy and ask him.

get a junk year fan out of a late 80's early 90's tourus 3.8 pulls HUGE HUGE ammounts of air and is only 20 bucks and then a $50 kit that had the relay and thermastat stuff cant beat that

i got a v6 fan off a taurus....i have a 10.5 comp.and a 60 over bore and keeps very cool..thats with a 180 stat/or a 5.0 lincoln fan
