Default gauges

ok i was thinking about switching the gauges in my 87 gt since the speedo only goes up to 85. well my 91 lx goes up to 140, but the warning lights are different. the 87gt has the warning lights on the bottom right and the 91 lx has the warning lights down the middle of the gauge pod. just wondering but could i switch these no problems with the warning lights and everything still work or what? i know they are interchangeable but i need those warning lights to work you know, so any help would be grateful. thanks guys!

the 87-89 cluster are different than the 90-93 cluster because of the airbags. you have to do some rewiring i think. i believe someone on here has done this successfully. you could just get on ebay and buy an 89 140mph speedo cluster

Or just peel the 140 overlay off of a 90-93 and stick it on your 87-89. I had to do this to make the 87-89 160 FRPP speedo work in my 90-93 cluster.
