Maybe you already finished your intake install but; I have a GT40 with what I think is around a 1" spacer it was no where near close to fitting with the stock hood. As well I needed the spacer because the GT40 would not clear my fuel rails, I was suprised with this but I had 2 shops look at it as well to be sure it wasn't my error. Hope this helps, by the way it works fine now with my 2.5" cowl.
