but the huge upside to the gt40... its like $75 at a junk yard... how much are those other intakes??? thats why ppl go w. it

i think ima hit a junk yard and grab one of them and gt40 heads, just cuz its so cheap, then eventually get a good intake...

ORIGINAL: 2 kwik

if you know so much then why did you ask the question[&:]
ORIGINAL: Hung Like a Stang

so there's no way the GT40 intake will flow like the edelbrock (typhoon) or tfs, ported or not.
that period was supposed to be a question mark.

The systemax 1 is an old 302 truck intake....

The Tubular GT40 is a great intake, actually better w/ boost than N/A. The Cobra or Exploder intakes are also good, but won't flow as much or make as much power as the tubular, especially w/ boost. Other intakes may make more power untouched, but a ported GT40 lower will flow with or outflow the others and will rock w/ a KB on it.

If your plans really are for a KB, I say go GT40 hands down, tubular or cast, since you can get it cheap and you can always find someone to buy the upper when you get the blower.
