PCV Valve VERY VERY Loose?

PCV Valve VERY VERY Loose?
I am going through my 91 5.0 to replace vacume hoses and do a through cleaning.
I have a trick flow upper and lower intake. When I went to pull the PCV valve it was like it fell out. Does this attach to the motor with some kind of fassner or does it hold with the plastic gromits and maybe it is just worn out?
I know it should not be that loose to pervent blowby and vacume leaks.
ANy help would be great.
thanks

RE: PCV Valve VERY VERY Loose?
The rubber grommet that the PCV sits in ismerely set inside the lower intake hole. You can try a new grommet (about $2-3). If the hole in the intake for the grommetisa "snug fit" or at least some contact friction without the PCV,the PCV should help push it tighter against the outer intake wall hole. Otherwise, you may try a touch of RTV on the outside wall of the grommet. It may provide a slightly stiffer/ tighter base for the PCV, just let it dry before putting the PCV back in. Also, when the car is running, the vacuum will help pull and keep the PCV in place.

I used a thin coating of silicone to 'build up' the diameter of the pcv valve. This made the fit a much tighter in the grommet.
Ford pcv's are supposed to fit better, but I have never tried one...

EDIT:
Instead of silicone you could probably just use a couple of layers of duct tape or electrical tape...

Thanks for the tips.
I removed the upper intake to replace the valve cover gaskets and opend up pandora's box of half &$$ work done by the previous owner.
All the valve cover screws and a major gap, the upper intake back nuts were hand tight, There was a gap between the upper and lower intake. I was wondering why I was making 2lbs of boost. Now I know

+1 on the tape. I used electrical tape on mine, and it worked great. Then for some unknown reason, I replaced the grommet...and guess what? The new grommet was the same way--a loose fit. So I wrapped that boy in electric tape too, and bunged it back in. Works like a charm.

Great. This saves me some time. Now I just have to find new gaskets for the TF.
My heads are Trick Flow w/ trick flow valve covers. Do they use a different gasket then factory?
I ask these questions because this is my first Mustang ever so I don't know what stock looks like.
