I will have to strongly dissagree w/ that. There are tons of guys running 400rwhp on NA 347's.
turn-key 425HP 347 for under 8K, on my first google search.

If you have any kind of attention to detail and use decent parts, the 347 should pass the 400rwhp mark N/A on pump gas. 350rwhp 347s are from people who just throw stuff together.... like using E cams. Personally, I'd plan on 420rwhp N/A.
BS ............. getting 420rwhp n/a out of a 347 at 6,500 rpm is not going to happen
you're dreaming, 408W only make 425rwhp.
You just really showed how much you don't know there. 425rwhp 408W???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA What a joke.

I'd do it with EFI and on pump gas. Nothing ported. Just a bolt on daily driver with the correct parts. I never said anything about 6500rpm, but that shouldn't limit it too much if someone wanted to limit it to that. I'll probably go 6800rpm.

I'll probably start buying parts to do one in April. It might be June/July before it's finished though. I'll be sure to let you know.

making 1+ HP per cube NA is hard to do...our 302 motors only make about 2/3rds that stock

1.1-1.2rwhp/ci (not hp) with EFI, hyd. roller and limited to pump gas is a pretty good build. If you don't know what you're doing you can just throw parts at it and make 1rwhp/ci. Anything less than that and you're either not trying or something is messed up.

Of course with high compression (race gas territory), solid roller cams and a carb (versus stock EFI) you can do even better. When I actually build a nitrous motor (or N/A, but I don't ever do anything N/A) I usually shoot for 1.2+rwhp/ci. This 347 I have planned should be in the area of 1.25rwhp/ci on 91 octane with a hyd. roller and the stock A9L and I'll be using OTS heads and intake.
