Default RE: Header Issues! help

Here's a trick i used once to line up a set of headers...when it doesn't line up use a really long bolt and a really short bolt on the tube(s) that are problamatic.
Get it sort of lined up about 1/4 -1/2 inch away from the port..put the short and long bolts in and thread them into the head. The long bolt will give a bit of flexibility when trying to line up the problamatic hole.
Tighten up the short bolt all the way...this will suck the tube to the head. You should be able to remove the long bot and replace it with a short bolt.
You might have to do multiple tubes at once if more than one tube doesn't line up.

Just messing dude, I know it sucks when performance goodies don't fit properly. Seriously though, hurry it up. I want to hear it!

ok.. Headers on.. FINALLY! AaaaaandHpipe done too. Mufflers up no problem.. How the hell do you get the tailpipes around the axle? Seriously this has gott o be a flaw in desing. Is this really something you should be able to do while car is on jackstands? I have spent a good amount of time on this.. and well it seems pretty simple and there just isnt that many ways it could go.. But the ways i tried are working. Ideas?

Woo Hooo.. nevermind... for the viewinng pleasure of the Pros on this site and more importantly for the newbies that might be having the same problem and figured out the search feature. Do NOT use your jack stands on the axles to prop up the rear of your car when you are installing your exhust.. Why? well because doing so will compress the shuck/springs on the axle the 5-6 inches required to fit/feed the mandrel bent tailpipe between the axle and the body of the car... I was only down there starring at the jack stands for about 20 freeking minutes before I realized my darwin... excuse me while I go kick my own ***.... My signature is actually true now...

When am I no longer a nubie?
