got my car back from shop need help
Hello, today I got my car back from the shop for a new clutch and to fix an oil leak. While driving it home I noticed the clutch works well, except it vibrates like a sonofabitch when it is not bieng engaged. Is this normal for a new clutch or what? Also I can smell a profuse smelljust like burning ruber, could this besomeoil burning off maby I hope from the oil leak getting fixed? In other words can burning oil smell like burning rubber? I will call the mechanic as well later I just wanted to get some input on what anyone thinks? Thank you and Have a good Friday.

Yea infact they had to replacethe pilot baringand they showed me my old battered up one. But that would cause the clutch to vibrate like hell? So im guessing its not normal to vibrate alot?

no vibrating on just about nething is bad.... normally means ull have abnormal wear... few obvious was to get vibration is like rubbing sumthing that spins or unblanced mass of something spining... or something grinding together... so yea its not good... i dunno much about trannys and clutchs so i cant tell u want... but i would take to the ppl that did the work... cuz 99% of the time vibrations isnt good

Sounds like it could be a little bit of clutch chatter...or your bellhousing bolts arent completely tight. I kno when I did my clutch it felt like the trans was going to drop out when I go to take off. Turns out, the bolts werent tight.
