Default Traction issues

OK, got a friend of mine that just bought a '93 GT with lots of motor work. The back tires are shot so we know that's part of his problem but we're trying to come up with what needs to be done to it for the strip and daily driver. First will be some sticky tires but then we were figuring control arms and maybe subframe connectors. Also going to check what shocks he has on it and maybe swap them. Right now he smokes the hell out of the tires with a 2.73 rear, which will get changed to a 3.73 before long.

So my question is, what are we forgetting? I haven't messed with a Fox body in years and have forgot most of what little I knew. If yall have any ideas, please let me know.

You basically got most of it covered. If you decide to switch out the springs and you are looking for traction whatever you do,don't go with lowering springs, go with a drag springs set up. Here's what I have so far, Strange Engineering 10 way adjustable shocks and struts (I love them), Summit Racing upper and lower control arms (I love these too), FRPP "C" Springs (they increased handling and lowered my car a little bit, but they are not ideal for a drag car). I'm also ordering a set of subframes (they are a must!) this weekend and a set of Nitto 555r Drag Radials in a few weekends. It doesn't hook so well on these tires that I'm running now, but I know with a set of stickier tires it should hook very well.

polyurethane bushings are cheap help handling and take off and gives you a better ride with less vibrations

Everything they said is ture.

I would recommend the Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radial. UPR upper and lower control arms. BBK subframe connectors. Detriot True-Trac locker, with 31 spline Moser Axles. You might also want to upgrade your studs and lug nuts.
