Default getting your car tuned

this may be a dumb question, but when you get your car tuned on a dyno do they program your stock computer? do you still need to have a maf if they can tune your car's computer?

Yes you still have to keep the MAF cause it sends readings to the computer for different sircumstances. They cant tune your car for just one air flow reading. And they actually program a chip that plugs in to your computer.

They go into the EEC and can set it to read your MAF better
and adjust timing and fuel curves to optimize the mods you have done.

The MAF tells the computer how much air is coming in so
it knows how much fuel to give.
