T45 in a Fox body??? Clutch suggestions???
I am sure this has been asked before and I am sure someone here will know. Can you put a 94+ T45 ona 302 or a 351W. I can't locate where right now, but I have read that T45s are stronger than T5s.
I am also looking for clutch information. I have a T5 now and I am starting to put together the recipe for the motor. The goal is 400HP at the tires. It will probably be a 351W. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think the T45 is a 4.6 tranny with the bellhousing permantly attachedto the tranny. The 4.6 bellhousing bolt pattern is different, therefore no way to make it work on a 5.0.

ryan is right the T45 is a 4.6 tranny (96+ model year) and the bell housing is not detachable, but if you know a good welder you can cut the old bolt pattern off and weld the new one on from a T-5... yes the T45 is stronger but not by alot, for the most part it's just a better case and slightly stronger syncros... the t-5 will hold 400WHP with a good driver (as i have said countless number of times)
