Default Valve spring upgrade?

I need to upgrade my valvesprings on a set of trickflow high port heads that need to with stand .700 degrees of lift. Does anyone have any suggestions on which ones to get from summit or jegs, and also is it difficult to swap them out, ive never done it, but if i follow directions i should be able to figure it out right?

.700 degrees of lift? There is alot more to valve spring selection than lift numbers. I assume this is a solid roller cam. Springs are not hard to change butI would contact the cam company that made the cam and have information like whatthe valvespring seatdiameter isand the installed height of the springs. They are the best to know what spring to use. What are putting these heads on?

The springs are for my 306, i got trick flow heads and the trick flow cam with .574/.595 lift, I know there is more to it and other things to take into consideration, but i guess i'm still just trying to get a general idea, i emailed trickflow and asked, but no reply, i guess i'll have to call them when i get some time and ask, but when changing them, how long does it take an average experienced person? and what should i look for when purchasing the new kit?

talk to whoever makes the cam you are getting. use the springs they recommend. the pressures need to be right. if trick flow says their heads will handle .700 of lift without modifcation you can change the springs yourself. but you need to verify the retainers arent gonna be smashing the valve seals / guides.

btw, changing springs is easy, but changing stiff *** springs that handle .700 lift are gonna be a pain in the *** using your basic hand powered spring compressor. i'd take it to a machine shop and let them swap them over. they'll be able to properly verify you arent gonna be having bind issues and it'll only them a few minutes to swap them over which means it shouldnt cost hardly any money

Sooooo.....does that mean that you will be using the Stg 3 cam?.....or a cam with a .700" lift specification?.....
