i dont think so, you'd need a bellhousing from a big block. while these are boat anchors in the weight department the heads still flow better than alot of aftermarket windsor heads. yeah the compression is low and that sucks, but throw a "rv" cam in there (somthing in the .450 -.475 lift range) and that motor will make gobd of low end power which is right where you want it when the light turns green

 

I wouldn't worry about it, when i run the numbers or even look at the engine again. If it shows a sign of 351M-400 on it, rest for sure I'm not getting it, matter of fact, imma check my tranny bolts and if they don't match, f*ck it.

used motor = any local junkyard.
new motor = summit, jegs, ebay, etc

the w is easy to spot dude, it looks JUST LIKE THE 302 but its a little wider.

 

Where are you located? I can get a 351W shortblock from my local junkyard chain for $100.
