351m is not a good one too build for a racecar.
a 351 c is not a good one too build either, in my opinion.
they cant handle high RPMs as much as a 302 or a 351w
if i was going to build a 351c or a 351 m, i would just build a 460, you can get more performance parts for them, and the bottom end wont sling apart .
my buddy went through 3 351 c motors in one race season , then i talked him into swapping to a 460,
hes still running it, and that was 2 years ago.
but do what you want too, everyone likes different engines.

why wont the stock length work?
ORIGINAL: r.barn

DO NOT use stock length pushrods. you will need to measure and check
and buy the right length.

what ever man the clev is one of the best high reving engens for ever made with a little work on the oiling system it would rev past any 302 or windsor however i do agree that the 460 is an awesome engine but the clev and m are both great for race cars

My clevelands turn 8900 every weekend, and this lil ole boss302 sitting in the corner of my shop will be doing the same. Funny the cleveland and 460's have the exact same oiling schematic. Your buddy doesnt know how to build a cleveland.
