RE: how much time to pull an engine
My first engine i pulled was a 300cid 6 out of a 90 f150. By myself it took about 4 hours. Now ive done calilers they take about 4-6 with beer. 3.0 taurus takes about 3-4 hours, 4-5 with beer alone, 6-8 with friends and lots of beer lmao. Just take your time give it a weekend dont rush youll be fine..

At the stage you're at, it can be out in 2 hours tops. I did it in much less than that, my first as well. I don't know if the SN95's have this, but the sensor going into my oilpan had to be unplugged. Don't forget to check on that.

RE: how much time to pull an engine
The first time I pulled the motor it took a full weekend to get the motor on a stand. That was my first engine pull...
The best I have done since then is 8hrs to pull the motor, replace the oil pump on a stand, and get the motor back in and running. Still had a 1hr lunch too.
Plan a full weekend, but with experienced help it shouldn't take that long.
Good Luck,
jason

Its not going to take you a weekend. If you strip it down completly and than pull it, it will take you twice as long. Leave everything that you can in place and than pull it. I would guess a GOOD day of work for a first timer.

If your car is a manual, make sure you have the tools to get the flywheel off the crank. A long breaker bar and something to hold the wheel in place.
If you're putting your engine on a rotating stand, you'll probably need mounting bolts about 1" or so longer than the bellhousing bolts.

RE: how much time to pull an engine
yea I just pulled mine for the first time yesterday. It was easier for me because i have slowly been taking off all the accessories over the past month or so. With the trip to advance auto for the forgotten tool it took me and my friend about 4 or 5 hours and we had no prior experience in engine removal whatsoever. we just went off intuition and hearsay. Definitely remember to label EVERYTHING because I didn't and when i put my new engine in its going to be a pain in the azz. And I didn't drink when i did it because i didn't want to be fooling around with a huge piece of metal hanging over my engine bay. Maybe next time though, because it only gets easier. ( :
