ok so the other day i parked my car and turned it off and i hear this whistle/humming kinda sound coming from underneath the car by the gas tank. i tried turning the car on and off but that didn't stop it. i drove around for a little bit and parked the car again and the noise was gone. so tonight i just got home and it did it again except this time i had to unhook the battery to get it to stop. i also noticed a sound in the engine bay. does anyone have any ideas what it is?

The relay under your driver seat probably went bad, the same thing happened to me. I just changed out that relay with a spare one and the problem went away. Be carefull though it will drain you battery pretty fast.(I know from experience).

cool thanks a lot. damn that only took like 2 minutes to figure this out. i love mustangforums! yea, i disconnected the battery because i figured it would drain it.
