Default fuel pressure check

Whats the easiest way to check the fuel pressure, should i just release the pressure from the schradder valve into a rag? And what should the pressure be? Its a 95 cobra.

yeah i got a gauge i was wondering if i should just release the pressure in a rag to hook it up or if there are better ways like flipping the inertia switch or something. and what should the pressure be with key on, running, etc.

Get a Fuel Pressure Regulator that will let you tap the gauge in. You might be able to do it with the one you have on now. Is it stock?

he still needs to know how to bleed off the pressure... Try reading the actual thread!

CobraKai95: flip the inertia switch and crank the car over a few times. this will not release ALL the pressure, so have a rag handy when you release the rest at the schrader valve.

you won't lose enough fuel to matter. just attach to schraeder valve w/ switch off

your entirely right... best bet is to do it after the car has sat overnight

Alright, looks like I just answered one question in his first post. But that is an easy way to do it and you always have a guage in.

Thanks i just screwed the gauge on after the car had sat all day there was no pressure in the line. I got 38psi with the key in the on position and with the car running. It would jump to 41 for just a second when i would give it some gas then drop back down to 38 and hold steady throughout the rpms. Is this good?
