Default Help Needed! Question About Exhaust Ports

The guy I bought my supercharger from told me that he was running it on his car with 10:1 compression but he said something about opening up the exhaust ports. What's he talking about? And how much would it cost to get someone to do that? I just need some general know-how here.

opening them up, like getting them ported out... getting your heads ported/polished is what he meant... itll cost a few hundred, and in all honesty if there stockers it isnt worth it, not to me. idjust go to a junkyard and get gt40 heads and port them.much better then ported stockers

you can go ahead and do it but you might not see all the perf you expect, 5.0's really wake up to opening up the exhaust. not so much w/ intake, theres plenty there, but they have trouble moving it out.

actually not even a few hundred, just cleaning them up makes a big diff, full port and polish you'd be looking at about $300 though. depending what heads you have, get rid of the thermactor bump if you have one
