Default door jam

i got my 88 5.0 with a cervini's 2 1/2 " cowel hood. well i have this interesting problem where the door wont open because it hits the passenger fender. the other owner said when he was putting on the hood, the fenders had to be moved around because he said no hood will fit perfectly on to a car. (first can someone verify this). the guy said i just need to adjust the fender. has anyone had this problem. also where are the bolts located to take off the fender. i hope there on none inside the passenger door.

alot of aftermarket hoods wont fit right so u do have to mess with stuff to get them to fit.. i would loosen the fender up and try to pull it up or out where ever it is hittin and try line it up a little better. its not really that hard..

Never heard of such a thing. Sounds like the car has been wrecked. My Cervini's hood fits perfect!!

yes...most aftermarket hoods need adjustment to line up the body lines....but it should never need so much adjustment to where the door hits the fender....sounds like the guy wrecked the car and threw it back together himself....."X" out the engine bay and see if the measuremants are the same....go off of the back fender bolt to the hood bump stop on the other side of the bay...that will tell you if it has been tweaked by a wrec of some sort...

There is a bolt in the door jamb. You have to open the door pretty far to reach it also.
