i'm pretty sure you can do it quickly without any changes to backlash either. i know when i put my auburn in i just took the tracloc out and put the auburn in. that easy

assuming you keep the same axle size then yes, you can just bolt one in. altho, if your considering a locker, i hope you plan on getting at least hardened axles because if your making enough hp to NEED a locker, then its time for new axles anyways. good time to get 31 splines

Ya I got a set of 31 splines to go with it. Is that going to make it harder?

no he wont. your thinking of a spool. if you give it a bunch of gas going around turns then the locker will lock the wheels together and you CAN have hop or one wheel slipage but as long as you are light on the gas youllbe fine.

youll still be able to whip it sideways, they are just saying that because its a "locker" doesnt mean that it will act like a spool...

just means the back axles will lock solid once you gas it

if you want to whip the back end around, just give it some gas and the locker will spin both tires really good. much better then a trac loc could. but if you dont want to spin the back end around, just go light on the gas when turning
