map = manifold air pressure
i think bap = barometric air pressure, but not 100%

They are different though

In SD systems it's called a BP/MAP....it does both functions.

In MA systems it's called a BP or BAP sensor...its functions as a MAP sensor are not used, nor required.

It's the same sensor.

Run the self-tests....if you have a bad BP/MAP sensor or circuit (wiring, connection, ECM).....expect to see a code 22.

oh! well i just learned something i suppose, but i was pretty friggin sure i was right
When you do a SD to MA conversion, you simply remove the vacuum line from the MAP sensor and leave it reading atmos. pressure.....it's now a BP sensor, you don't replace it.
