Default Speed Density VS MAF

Ive heard modding a 5.0 with the speed density setup could asctually slow the car down. Is this true? Is the MAF system the only way to really go?

this isnt tru at all. actually its easy as all hell to get a SD fox into the low 13/high 12 range.

the ONLY place a problem arrises is when you attempt a cam swap. they are deffinatly do able, but you have to be careful which u choose, it has to create enough vacum for the engine to run right.

there is nothing wrong w. SD, what are your plans... you may just wanna stick w. SD.

but the statement about modding sd would slow it down compared to MAF is NOT TRUE. and fyi-sd cars are slightly faster stock[8D]

^ alot of guys actually switch to SD when they have high #'s, i hear its easier to tune when you are high in HP and are supercharged or turbo. A local guy around here has around 700rwhp and told me hes switchin back to SD for tuning purposes, i also just saw a wicked TT mustang that had like 1200 HP and was SD.
