lowering brackets for the rear end?

lowering brackets for the rear end?
I am in the middle of making brackets similar to the ones sold with megabite jr. and sr. control arms that lower the position at the axle supposedly to give it better bite.
I'm doing this because i am able to spin my 28/10.50/15 MT slicks through first and second gear. It just wont hook. I do have after market UPR upper and lower control arms in my car with tokico adjustable shocks rear drag springs and 90/10 struts in front.
My upper control arms are not adjustable but i'm working on that.
Has anyone ever tried doing this or seen anyone doing thiswithout using the megabite arms?

RE: lowering brackets for the rear end?
i put in UMI lift bars, just like the megabites with the relocation brackets. probably lowered the mounting points about 3 inches. i noticed more traction but i only have street tires. i could take some measurements of my brackets if you need them

Thats not necessary as i copied the dimensions from the megabite brackets. Thanks though.
Have you put any sticky tires on there yet, how did they hook comparingly?
I'm asking because i wonder if it will make a big difference.

no but drag radials are in the near future. wheel hop is completely gone. i also have non adjustable upper control arms and drag springs in the back (didnt get around to putting the front springs in) i havent been to the track yet but on the street last year with 3.08's and stock suspension icouldnt go WOT in 1st at all, but now even with 3.73s and the same tires i can ease into full throttle pretty quick and not spin. first thing you notice tho is the ground clearance where the control arms mount is a lot less so keep that in mind when your driving around.do you plan to bolt or weld the brackets to the stock brackets?

I welded them on for strength. It did lower my car a lot. I see what you mean with the ground clearence between the control arms and the ground, WOW. I tried driving it but now the tires rub on the inner and outer fender well so i just bought some Granatelli weight jackers that are adjustable( 2" UP AND 1" DOWN) so i can raise it up, also i bought UPR extreme duty double adjustable upper arms so i can set my pinion angle to 4 degrees negative. Man i hope this gives me some better grip.

i noticed it a lot when making a turn from a stop, you can give it a lot more gas and not spin the tires.
i didnt notice any rubbing on my tires tho, but my wheels are only 245 wide, what about yours
