Steel vs. Aluminum Underdrive Pulleys...
Hey guys, i'm lookin into buying a set of underdrive pulleys from either March or BBK. Should I go with steel or aluminum? What's the differences? Is it worth the price difference? Are underdrive pulleys worth it at all? Thanks guys.

imo UD pulleys arent worth it. 5hp for $75 (or more) seems a bit pricey. plus you have charging issues because the alt is slowing down. some people will say just run the stock alt pulley and youll be fine but when you change to a smaller crank pulley, the alt still slows down even if you use the stock alt pulley.

I kinda feel the same way man, thats a lot of cash for a couple hp. I'm thinking about keeping the $100 or whatever and putting it towards my h/c/i swap.

a buddy with a 94 5.0 said his stang ran warmer with u/d pullies as well. To answer your Q: aluminium is lighter and easier to spin, thats the only advantage i know of.
