Are all the vacuum lines hooked up that you can see? Do you hear any vacuum leaks? Any way you can hook up a gauge to test your vacuum at idle? Did you torque the upper and lower intake to the right amount of foot pounds and did you torque the bottom in the right order? All new gaskets? Did you get a tune after installing the camshaft? Sorry for the ton of questions, but these all may help.

If you think you have a vacuum leak, take a can of carb cleaner and start spraying around the vacuum lines and the gaskets with the car running. If there is a leak somewhere, you will hear the engine choke a little when the carb cleaner gets pulled through the leak. You can do the same thing with a small bottle of propane and a little tube (that you use to direct the flow of the propane.)

Check for cracked or broken vacuum lines and bad gaskets. They are the usual culprits.

i used all new gaskets...felpro...i did not get it tuned after the cam was installed....this just started about a week ago or so...the car idles crazy jumps up and down then turns off...i torqued everything down to the book.. and hooked up the vac lines best to my knowledge...i also have already sprayed the whole car down wit either carb cleaner or brake cleaner and also got no change or difference..i just change the idle control vac sensor and egr and got nothing im stuck and dunno what it could be
