Not exactly you can actually be slower. Your stock converter is matched to your HCI and Gear setup. What Cam are you running? what is your powerband?

The new convertor is custom made. What the hell are you talking about? Please tell me how a higher stalling, custom made torque converter willslow his 1/4 mile time, I'd really like to hear this. I guess I slowed my car down when I installed my custom built 3000 rpm Street Edge stall.

He said a new valve body, not manual. Don't waste money on those preinstalled shift kits (i.e. TCI streetfighter). If I were you, I'd go with the same set up that I've got.Get your self the baumann AOD recal kit at http://www.becontrols.com/ , you can change your shift points and custom tailor your shift firmness to your likes. On top of all that, you'll know that everything is done correctly and you'll only spend $60 + fluids and a new filter.

I forgot to add, if you can afford a manual valve body, by all means go for it. But I would wait to get one until you've got a beefed up tranny.
