RE: Dash Lights Broke
thats a good idea about the dimmer switch. didnt think about that and yes the only aftermarket gauges I have are oil pressure and water pressure but they still work when I turn my lights on.

id check dimmer switch or fuses before you go tearing it apart. i thought mine was screwed and someone suggested the dimmer switch and that was what it was. lol. i felt like an idiot.

If you have taillights and other exterior lights your fuse should be fine. Mine are all on the same circuit.
Ifit comes down to it, youll have to remove the gauge cluster. I always disconnect the battery when messing with my dash.
There are 2 small torx on the top of the dash cluster, you can see them thru the windshield. Remove them and the lower panel under the column. Theres a metal bracket under that panel but i dont remember if it has to come off. Removing the column covers wont hurt. You can drop the cloumn if you need extra room but itisnt needed, thats simply optional. I lowered mine only so i didnt nick my steeering wheel since its leather.
You should see a few more screws holding the dash cluster in. Take off the bezel and remove the torx holding the actual cluster in. I disconnected my speedo from the cluster to make things easier for me. Just make sure its in good before you reinstall the cluster. Good time to lube it, i didnt do mine tho. Check the back for any missing/bad bulbs. My manual lists a 194.
