Default Toggle Switch Question

I wired up 2 aftermarket gauges and I wanna run the lighting to a toggle switch. How should I do this? I tried but it didnt work cause I ended up wiring it back togher and didnt break the connection.

Just wire it to the dash light wires in the fuse box. That is how I did mine and it goes on/off with the lights. They also dim with the dash lights too.

You will have to put the toggle switch in line from the power source to the gauges.

I finally figured it out. I had the wires backwards. The power option on the switch goes to the battery and the wire for the lights goes to the ACC option.
