GT40 Tubular on a 94 GT?
Hey all, well tonight I became the proud new owner of a 94 GT 5-spd! Thought I would try something different than a fox, and have always loved the looks of the 94-95 GT's. It's 100% stock, and it's silver with silver and black interior. It's in perfect condition and I take delivery on Sunday morning.
Well on to my question. I already have a GT40 tubular intake, but will it fit under the stock hood with the chassis support bars and all? I will be throwing on a Pro-M 75mm maf, a 65mm TB and the Tubular GT40 if it will fit. The next thing will be headers, X-pipe with high flow cats, and some kind of cat-back system. Thanks for any help!

I believe the only problem youll run into is the strut tower brace wont go back on. But you can buy one that will fit with aftermarket intakes.

I'm not exactly sure it will fit with the stock strut tower brace either. Not sure how much this helps, but you only have 1" of extra clearance between the top of the stock intake and the strut tower brace. So if the GT40 tubular is more than 1" taller (and I think it is) then it will not happen with the stock brace. The stock hood will work though.
I can also say that the Explorer intake didn't fit with the stock brace.
