hood pin question

Default hood pin question

does any one know the best place on a 88 stang to put the hood pins through the hood? just to clarify my hood latch is cone i have a fiberglass hoos and bought hood pins for it cause i cant afford a new hood rite now

Bolt them on the core support, then mark were they touch the hood .

there are two holes in the radiator support that come from the factory, evenly spaced out from the middle of the support. i used them, just enlarged them big enough to fit the pins.

use the 2 holes and install the pins..put some chalk or a dab of grease on the tips and lower the hood on them 2 make your mark where to drill the holes

thats how i was gunna put hood pins on its kinda common sense if you think about it...then again common sense isnt so common anymore

The original hood bumpers seem to align with the recess in my cervini, I was planning on putting them there in place of the bumpers if I put pins on mine

yea mine are right on with the two holes in the radiator support. just make sure you get the markings right and it should be easy
