Default Sensor On Right Hand Of Throttle Body???

I know the TPS is on top of the throttle body but what is the silver canister on the right hand side of the TB with the sensor attached???

its the idle air controller, it opens and closes a small passageway in there to meter how much air goes around the throttle butterfly at an idle, basically it controls the idle of the car.

Thanx alot....The problem im having is while im coming to a stop my car will almost die but doesnt just idles very low than when im almost at complete stop the idle will kick back up. Im picking up a TPS today but im guessing ill have to change the IAC also.

sometimes it can be as simple as a vac line leak...but the codes test will help you eliminate spending hard earned money and finding out you were off base. Guessing is expensive and rarely right. My car suffered from stalling/hangin idle..was a vac line left unpluged during the intake install....not saying what your issue is, just relaying possible causes to look for.
