Just wondering why it took you so long? What was involved in taking it out mainly and what should I look out for, I have alift and stands.

You will be spending awhile on it due to the FI stuff that requires removal.

my dad helped me in the beginning giving me some steps, but ya as 89ford said just disconnect pretty much everything so it can come out

Yes, that would make sense but normally there is something to look out for.
it helps if the hood is open......just make sure every wire is unplugged and away from the engine so that it wouldnt get snagged on something, but im not really sure how smart you are so i guess i name the obvious, the exhaust and trans will have to be disconnected at some point either take the headers off or just the h-pipe, the that the trans out or the drive shaft
