Frostbyte is right. This is basic refrigeration. That freeze 12 is not real R12. The R12 is very expensive. Plus most of that recharge in a can has a sealant in it which can damage the system. Another note, if you have an empty system, that can is not enough to fill your system. It's only 12 oz and your sytem probably takes a couple pounds. It even says it on their page. Go R134a, it will save you money in the longrun.

There is a tag under the hood some where that has the original refrigerant type & charge. If the system has been upgraded/retrofitted there should be a tag stating that also.
The small cans also contain oil & it is possible over repeated fillings w/ them that you can over charge the system w/ oil. Its best to have the leak repaired, also cheaper in the long run.
