ok, go under the dash, look btwn the gas and brake pedals, push the clutch in and you will see the quadrant move... at the end of it is a hook.... when u push the clutch in, you will see it move upwards. find a way to hold it still and let go of the clutch pedal slowly, then pull it up untill u hear a click, keep doin that untill it where u want it.

Mine does what yours does and then all of a sudden it starts to shift aftera few miles. I ended up having to get a new clutch pedal assembly because the new cable I got didn't fix the problem and I got back under the dash and found out the previous owner spot welded part of the clutch pedal assembly back together.
