Default Torque boxes

I bought an 89 notch about a yr ago, the previous owner did a 302 swap and ripped off the passenger torque box. I know the car cant drive like this but this should be a fairly easy fix right?

did it tear slightly or is it completly seperate from the car? the fix is easy if its tore, if its off its gunna be near impossiable to get back in the right spot so the rear end is true, the other side may have twisted the boddy a litle if thats the case.

no s***? damn i think its completly off. I gotta get in and take a real close look at it. The 302 that was in it was basically stock, only mods were a carb i think its an off-brand and an edelbrock perf rpm intake. That would have enough torque to bend the frame?

will not be near impossible, its in fact very possible, take a look in my photo album at my install of the upper torque pan. i tore mine completely out and the fix was whats called a stang boxwhich can be purchased from wildridesracecars.com for around $450. once installed the mounting points are perfect.

it wont put any extra weight on and yes it will work with the summits, it retains the factory mouting points. its a direct upper torque pan replacement and when you do this be sure to go ahead and put the reinforcement kit for lower and uppers for it. i personally being a fabricator and welder by trade made my own out of stainless steel for a whole hell of alot cheaper than the kits they sell. when you put the stang box and reinforce kits in dont just bolt em, weld them also and stitch weld them dont weld them solid.
