Default adjusting the clutch cable

Im having a phunking field day with this clutch quadrant. I know where it is.. looks like a half moon shape device. Have no idea what to do to adjust the cable to have less play. The pedal goes about half way down before the other end of the clutch cable touches the clutch fork.
Yes I do have the corect lenght cable.
Im thinking it needs to be adjusted but have no idea how to.
Read my dam chiltons book and it says its a self-adjusting quadrant... how do you adjust a self-adjusting quadrant if it adjust by its self.
WTF!!!!! AHHHH Im gonna die!! PLEASE HELP

You should check to see if its the stocker or an aftermarket peice. If it an aftermarket peice just pull the slack out of the sable down near the clutch fork and tighten the jamb nuts closer to the fork. Our clutch is done that way and within an 1 or so of pushing the pedel the clutch is engaged. Makes it really easy to power shift.
