Max power on stock tranny?

RE: Max power on stock tranny?
It depends on your ability to get the power down...if your tires slip a lot then your engine can have lots of power.
Then theres instant failure versus gradual wear, how long will it last?

tranny is rated to around 300 ft lbs of torque, gotta get the tires to stick and apply that torque to have a problem. Im sure it can take more as that number is probably underrated.

boy is that ever an understatement!
last I read in MM&FF said the torque max rating which is really what matters with a tranny is around 300-350 ft-lbs or so with a stock manual but it all just depends like ^^^ already said.

my friend just built his talon up. Turboed with 35lbs of boost making 768 hp. He has a stock tranny. He thought the tranny would go on the dyno, hes in the process of getting one built. funny **** though.
